About us

Southeast Volusia Humane Society was founded in 1958 by Vivian Oyler.  The purpose and mission of SEVHS is the prevention of suffering, neglect, abuse, and cruelty of animals. To provide humane care and treatment for animals needing protection, assist in returning lost animals to their homes, find suitable homes for animals without, promote humane education, and continually work toward the solution of over-population of animals. Southeast Volusia Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization that takes in stray and  unwanted animals in over five cities and the Unincorporated  County of Volusia.
