Are you looking for your lost pet? We contract with New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, and DeBary, and some of Volusia County to take in stray animals. If you are from Edgewater, please check with the Edgewater Animal Shelter https://edgewateranimalshelter.org/

If you are missing an animal from DeLand, please contact New Hope Animal Shelter https://www.newhopeanimalshelter.com/

If you are missing an animal from anywhere else in Volusia County, please contact Halifax Humane Society https://www.halifaxhumanesociety.org/

Here are some helpful hints when you are missing your animals

Here are some helpful hints when you are missing your animals:

  1. Come into the shelter to look for you animal and fill out a lost report
  2. Contact other local shelters in the area and fill out a lost report with them too
  3. Post your lost pet on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Neighborhood, Twitter, etc.
  4. Post your lost pet on animal lost and found sites like Petco Love  https://petcolove.org/ and Pawboost https://www.pawboost.com/
  5. Post lost flyers in the area where your pet went missing
  6. Keep in mind the stray hold for animals is only 3 days, so make sure you are following up within the 3-day period

The animals that you see on our website are updated in real time. They may be available for adoption after their stray hold is up.
